SERVED FAST, COOKED SLOWLY.
Millions of Indian's eat Thali's at lunch and dinner time; it's a traditional well balanced meal that has kept a country healthy and nourished for centuries. The meal consists of a protein dish usually in the form of Paneer (Indian cheese) or fish, a lentil dish (dahl), a seasonable vegetable accompaniment served with rice and salad. The individual recipies will vary to the according region and the spices woven into the food and chosen for their nourishment as much as taste.
One of the driving factors that led us to open Thali was the thousands of Indian restaurants up and down the country that all insist on serving the same inauthentic rich creamy curries that bear no resemblance to what you may get in an Indian home. In Thali we serve authentic home cooked style fresh food.
